Synopsis: Buddhika, a lawyer by profession, strikes a friendship with a young woman named Sherine. She accepts his invitation to go on trip to the hills and Sherine goes missing with all his valuables. Buddhika is retained by a woman, Sumithra, accused of murdering her husband. She recounts her story to Buddhika. Sumithra and her husband Subasinghe though of small means are happily married. They have a daughter named Sujeeva. Subasinghe moves to a new job in place showing traditional dancing to tourist. This brings the family a better income. However, this happiness is short-lived as Subasinghe gets involved with another woman. The constant bickering and fighting resulting from this affair affects Sujeeva in her studies. Sumitra by chance meets one of her old classmates, Palitha. She confides in him, her situation….. Eventually Palitha and Sumithra find solace in their relationship. Amidst all these Sujeeva rebels rejecting all advise to continue her relationship with a young man she meets outside her dance class. The fate of all these characters forms the story of Sathi Pooja.
